Manchester City logra agónico triunfo de visita en Newcastle

EN GRAN PARTIDO CON DOS GRANDES EQUIPOS LOS CITIZENS LOGRARON REMONTAR EN EL TIEMPO DE DESCUENTO

Ciudad de México – Zarandeado de repente por dos goles en tres minutos del Newcastle sobrepasada la media hora, surgió Kevin de Bruyne al rescate del Manchester City en los últimos 20 minutos, con el gol del 2-2 y la asistencia del 2-3 para la fantástica definición de Bobb, con la que culminó una remontada crucial, ya en el 91′ (2-3), cuando el empate parecía ineludible.

Aprovechó una doble oportunidad. Primero superó al Aston Villa en el segundo puesto. Después, sobre todo, se sostuvo a dos puntos del liderato del Liverpool, tras esquivar el tropiezo en St. James Park y consolidar su reacción, con seis triunfos seguidos, tres sucesivos como visitante. El Newcastle lo puso a prueba. Y salió vencedor, sin Erling Haaland y con una ventaja en el marcador en el minuto 25 que no fue suficiente.

Un golazo de Bernardo Silva. La forma con la que remató el centro desde la derecha de Walker, con un taconazo increíble con la oposición de Fabian Schar fue pura magia, como la que después demostró De Bruyne para la remontada o Bobb en la acción del definitivo 2-3. El City levantó los dos derechazos rotundos y certeros del Newcastle. El primero, en el minuto 34, de Isak. El pase largo de Bruno Guimaraes fue perfecto. El remate del atacante sueco también. El segundo, el 2-1 en el 36′, de Gordon, que hizo lo propio, incluso en una posición más compleja.

La remontada local. Hasta entonces, aparte del 0-1 de Bernardo Silva, el City había hecho ocasiones para haber sentenciado el choque, con dos acciones de Foden y sobre todo una volea preciosa del centrocampista portugués que Dubravka pudo despejar contra el poste, cuando el partido apuntaba a goleada visitante más que a otro resultado. Antes del descanso las ocasiones fueron del Newcastle, recargado de convicción. Apareció Ortega para evitar el 3-1.

Era el momento de los locales en el tramo final del primer acto. Se habían visto derrotados y eran ganadores al intermedio. Mucho mérito frente al City. Hasta la igualada, no había habido apenas trabajo para Stefan Ortega, el sustituto de Ederson. Lo perdió Guardiola al minuto 8. Realmente, antes.

Pero ya era una ofensiva total. Doku por un lado y Walker por el otro. Foden, Bernardo Silva y Julián Álvarez por dentro. La recuperación de Rodri cada vez más arriba. Y el partido trasladado completamente al campo local, pendiente del aguante del Newcastle o del acierto ofensivo del Manchester City, sin Haaland, baja por lesión desde diciembre.
