Xavi Hernández: “Es natural que él quiera dirigir al Barcelona”

Barcelona, España – Xavi Hernández, actual entrenador del Barcelona, disculpó a Rafa Márquez por haberse postulado para dirigir al equipo azulgrana el mismo día en el que el excentrocampista anunció que no seguirá en el club al concluir la temporada.

En la previa del partido de LaLiga contra Osasuna, Xavi afirmó que el exdefensa mexicano, entrenador del filial del Barcelona, es su “amigo” y restó importancia a las palabras de Márquez, que aseguró que “a una oportunidad así (la de entrenar al Barcelona), no le puedes decir que no”, algo que causó molestia en el club.

” Rafa es un amigo. Igual a lo mejor se sacaron sus palabras de contexto o se expresó mal, pero es lícito y natural que él se esté preparando para poder entrenar un día al Barça. Igual esa no una decisión que me toca tomar a mí, es algo para Deco y el presidente (Joan Laporta)”, indicó Xavi en rueda de prensa, que también destacó que quiere que los cuatros meses que le quedan en el cargo “sean los mejores” y que así se lo ha hecho saber a sus jugadores.

“Necesitamos una reacción. Los futbolistas tienen que dar un paso adelante, y lo saben, dependemos mucho de que ellos estén inspirados”, dijo Xavi, quien destacó que algunos de ellos le hicieron “emocionar” por su reacción tras conocer que no seguiría al frente del equipo la próxima temporada.

La visita de Osasuna será el primer encuentro desde el anuncio del técnico de Terrassa: “Afronto el partido con más responsabilidad, si cabe, porque todavía nos jugamos mucho. Sigo con la máxima ilusión y con la máxima energía. Me ha liberado un poco a nivel personal, pero estoy motivadísimo y así se lo he hecho saber a los futbolistas”.

Por eso, Xavi reclamó ” unidad” y el apoyo de la afición para “competir” ante un rival que es “una roca defensivamente”, en un momento muy delicado para el club y para el equipo.

“Estamos más vulnerables en defensa y el rendimiento como equipo ha bajado. El nivel futbolístico no es el adecuado, por eso mi decisión de no seguir. Llegué aquí en uno de los momentos más difíciles de la historia y creo que no se valora suficiente nuestro trabajo. A principio de temporada ya tenía decidido no seguir”, explicó.

Xavi insistió en que el “desgaste” llega porque “te hacen sentir que no vales a diario”, que eso le ha pasado “a todos los entrenadores” que se han sentado en el banquillo azulgrana y que también le pasará “al próximo”.
