Chicharito Hernández regresa a Chivas y a la Liga MX tras 14 años

Jalisco, México – Es oficial… el histórico delantero Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández regresa a Chivas y a la Liga MX después de 14 años para ser el flamante refuerzo del Rebaño para el Clausura 2024.

El Guadalajara anunció este miércoles al máximo goleador de la Selección Mexicana (52 goles) como su nueva incorporación después de que hace unos días el futbolista de 35 años le diera el sí a la directiva rojiblanca encabezada por el presidente Amaury Vergara y el director deportivo Fernando Hierro.

De esta manera, Chicharito vuelve al club en el que se formó y debutó en Primera División tras casi 14 años, luego de que en el verano del 2010 fichara con el Manchester United.

Javier Hernández se fue del Rebaño por la puerta grande al proclamarse campeón de goleo del Torneo Bicentenario 2010 con 10 tantos; en total, el histórico delantero marcó 29 goles en 79 partidos con la camiseta rojiblanca.

Chicharito regresa a Chivas para cerrar su carrera con broche de oro tras brillar en el United, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham y Sevilla en Europa, donde levantó cuatro títulos -3 con el United y uno en Real Madrid- y anotó 127 goles.

Las últimas cuatro temporadas las jugó en la MLS con Los Angeles Galaxy para un total de 39 goles en 83 partidos, aunque no pudo lograr el objetivo final, el título de la MLS Cup.

Cabe recordar que, Chicharito está en la fase final de recuperación de una ruptura de ligamento anterior cruzado en la rodilla derecha que sufrió en junio del 2023 y su vuelta a las canchas está prevista para febrero, cuando ya esté empezado el Clausura 2024.

En Chivas competirá por un lugar en la alineación del técnico Fernando Gago con Ricardo Marín, José Juan Macías, Ronaldo Cisneros y Daniel Ríos, además del ofensivo mexicoamericano Cade Cowell.
