Australia – En la victoria contra Tomás Etcheverry saltó a la vista la longevidad de Novak Djokovic, como así también su vigencia. El serbio se metió al “club de los 100” en el Australian Open y ya se puso en la misma línea que Roger Federer y Serena Williams.

¿De qué se trata? El N°1 del mundo disputó su 100° partido en Melbourne, cifra que superaron años atrás el suizo y la estadounidense. Y al menos ya tiene asegurado uno más por su pase a los octavos de final.

Así, solo estos tres tenistas han superado esa marca en la historia del torneo. Federer es el que más encuentros jugados tiene, con 117. Mientras que Serena Williams alcanzó los 105, un número del que el ‘Djoker’ podría quedar a uno si es que llega a la final en esta edición.

Djokovic defiende en Melbourne Park el título del año pasado y tiene en juego el N°1 del mundo. Y con esta victoria se metió en octavos de final de un Grand Slam por 24° vez consecutiva.
